Fujifilm Finepix Viewer for F70EXR digital camera and compatibility issues with Windows 7

Hello,

I recently upgraded to a new PC with Windows 7 and I bought a new Fujifilm F70EXR digital camera.

I have installed the software for the camera; and everything looks normal in terms of the Finepix viewer page.  However, whenever I go to upload pics form the camera, I get a message saying that "Finepix Viewer is not installed".

I have went to Fuji's website to try to get some updated drivers in an attempt to fix the problem.  I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall the original Finepix viewer software, all to no avail.

I have been able to successfully upload these pics to my laptop (which has Windows XP).    Has anyone else had any issues with Windows 7/ Fuji Finepix Viewer?

    Hi,

    ·        Which version of FinePix Viewer are you trying to install?

Fujifilm F70EXR digital camera is compatible with Windows 7. Check the link mentioned below.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&s=F70EXR&type=Hardware

    Step 1:

As I can see that you have updated the drivers, it might be that the previous drivers that were present on the system were corrupted. Updating will not correct this issue. I would suggest you to completely uninstall the drivers along with the software and then download the drivers from Fuji Films and then install it on the system. Check the link mentioned below to download the drivers.

    Step 2:

I would suggest you to install the FinePix Viewer from the link mentioned below and check whether the issue is resolved.

    Step 3:

There is an Owner’s manual given in the website. I would suggest you to download the document and follow the steps that are mentioned in that manual. Check the link mentioned below.

Yes I just tried to upload some pictures from my F70EXR camera to my Windows 7/ Fuji Finepix Viewer and got a message: IO error occurred, process aborted. I reinstalled the software and the message still appears. JW
