On two of my projects, i am trying to make modeless dialog boxes. But, when I debug the program, it gets errors on my resource.rc files. here is a screenshot of the errors:
also, I am on winprog.org/tutorial for a tutorial on modeless dialogs.
Probably this time the .rc file is interpreted by Visual Studio as .cpp file, which rarely happens. How did you add and edit the .rc file?
Other .cpp files contain errors too.
Sometimes, I click "view code". otherwise, i use the visual studio resource editor
If possible, maybe show the fragment of 
file, which at least includes the problematic line 24, where the first errors are reported.
You can also publish your sample project on OneDrive or GitHub, etc.

I download, compile and run the linked project successfully.
