Hi, I got one of my Word file updated from a friend: trying to open Excel table in it, I got this message.

If I open previous file version, never sent to my friend, they have the same issue.

Could you help on issue resolution? It seems that one update (MS or ...) generate this issue ....

This is an issue that has been reported to the Word Product Team and we are waiting on a response.

I did a McAfee update this morning: with MS support we found that, removing it, Word is working well again. Re-installing McAfee = problem back. I open an issue with McAfee support right now ....

    Hi Giancarlo,

Thank you very much for the feedback, which I have passed on to the Product Team, who, because they naturally do not use McAfee, were unable to reproduce the problem.

There is absolutely no reason to use third party AV applications as the protection provided by WIndows Defender, together with a little bit of common sense is sufficient.

    Hi Doug,

thanks for your feedback. Several reason why I'm using McAfee, the main one is because I have also iPhone and iPad covered with it.

I tried to remove McAfee from my laptop, at least until they will resolve their issue: but to move to Windows Defender I need to de-install it completely.

Any further feedback is highly appreciated.

    Best regards

    Giancarlo

As suggested; I disabled McAfee; still same problem was there! Immediately the issue got resolved; When I uninstalled the McAfee Antivirus application! So, I have decided to run my system on Windows Defender Security Program.

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback.
