Quite often I need to paste only the conditional formatting of a table in a new sheet, where I only need to replace the numbers with new ones, but as you can imagine, the moment I change the numbers the cell colour is changing based on conditional formatting
that is running in the background.
Consider the example as a heat map where the colours show the percentage difference and I want to replace the numbers of that ±% with the actual percentages.
Up until 6 months ago, before several office updates, "Paste formatting" was achieved by copying the table and pressing "Ctrl+B" and "Ctrl+V" one after the other. Using this short-cut combination I was able to paste ALL formatting of the table including
the colours set in conditional formatting but without the rules.
I am wondering why this feature is no longer active. Every time I try this combo I get a "buzz" sound and nothing happens.
Yes, I can maintain the conditional formatting without the rules by copying the table to a PPT or DOC and back again to my excel, but since there was a shortcut to do this within EXCEL environment, that is why I am asking.
Thank you.
p.s. I am running Microsoft Excel for Mac, Version 16.21.1
