MDT capture image but showing administrator password is incorrect

Dear experts,

I'm trying to capture an image that has latest applications installed, after running the litetouch script, it rebooted but it stuck at login screen, this didn't happen before. I skipped adminpassword in rules and by the way, this is to capture Win10 Pro Education 20H2. It's working fine when I tested it with old LTSB image.

Any idea what is going on?

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1, Have you changed the logon user in the AutoLogon properties (Click Edit Unattend.xml button on the OS info tab of your task sequence properties, and then navigate to C:\DeploymentShare\Out-of-Box Drivers\Components\oobeSystem\AutoLogon)?

2, Please check the SMSTS.log and BDD.log in X:\Windows\Temp or C:\MININT\SMSOSD\OSDLOGS folder. For more information, please refer to:

    Best regards,
    Simon

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback and sharing. We're glad that the question is solved now. Here's a short summary for the problem.

    Problem/Symptom:
When using MDT to capture reference image from Windows 10 Pro Education 20H2, after rebooted, it stuck at login screen and showed the error "administrator password is incorrect".

    Solution:
Reimported a brand new Windows 10 ISO image and then created a new task sequence. It works as normal.

If you have any questions in future, we warmly welcome you to post in Microsoft Q&A forum again. Thanks again for your time.

    Best regards,
    Simon
