Microsoft Forms: Access issue

We have created a poll for our company to answer-  some people can access it with no issue from the link we sent out, others are told they have no permission to access it.

These users all have the same settings and all have forms enabled.

Some could make it work in firefox but not chrome, others in neither browser.

Could this be caused by any known caching issues on browsers if they have previously been logged in with a different user account?

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance.

    Hello Jeni,

my name is Manuel and I am an independent advisor.

The form is probably set to "only people in my organization can respond".

Therefore make sure your colleagues are definitely logged in on the correct tenant (******@TENANT.onmicrosoft.com).

This was a common issue in my environment.

If it is still not working you could share it with anyone who has the link (if it is no confidential form) and pass it to the concerned users.

This article describes how to adjust the settings for sharing a form:

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/adjust...

    I hope this helps.

    Greetings,

    Manuel

    Hi JeniMS,

Cache in browsers may interfere the permission, To have a quick check, let them open the browser in Private/Incognito Mode and access via same Url. If it works, the issue is probably on the caches saved by the browser.

If not, we'd prefer more info for looking into this issue.

    1. What is the detailed error message? Upload a screenshot here would be helpful.
    2. Are those affected user using your company account or their personal account? Make sure the accounts they use are in your tenant(like ******@yourcompany.com or ******@yourcompany.onmicrosoft.com)

Additional to the suggestion to use "Anyone with the link can respond" link, provided by Manuel, Forms can't record the account name voting by those accounts by default. If you do need to know the names for the poll, you may consider add an additional question for logging their names.

    Regards,

    Ryan
