Microsoft Powerpoint for android not displaying slides in full mode when the slide design has a portrait orientation (9:16)

Hi, I want to show some powerpoint slides in my phone using a portrait orientation in mind, but when I go to the presentation mode using a portrait phone orientation my phone will either fill the upper part of the screen with the slide and the rest with a "notes" section, and if I switch my phone to a landscape orientation, it will fill the middle of the screen with the slide in its vertical orientation and fill the sides with black. is there a way to change these settings in order for me to have slides designed with a portrait orientation filling the whole screen when my phone is also in portrait orientation? thanks!

Hi PRSL, you seem to be in Presenter view, which will show Presenter notes - if you turn that off, your skideshow should go to full screen

On the Mobile app, on the Slideshow Ribbon, is there a checkbox for Presenter view?

If so turn that off . . .

Though, I was just doing some reading and it may not be possible on the mobile app to tun off Presenter View . . .

Thanks for your answer, it is indeed the presenter view, and as you mention it does not seem to be an option to turn it off... I hope they add this soon, I´ll check in the meantime other options in order to show my slides in portrait mode.

This is a known limitation of PowerPoint for Android. You can vote on this PowerPoint User Voice suggestion to make full-screen portrait presentations possible: Allow Portrait Mode Presentations Each additional vote increases the likelihood of MS including it in a future version.
