Word freezes when trying to save to onedrive

When I try to save a word document, I click online locations and my mac freezes with spinning wheel. I have updated software and restarted the computer.

    Frankly, that's a BS answer. Complete reinstall because of a File/Save issue? Might have to switch back to Pages.

    Follow these instructions for removing the Office suite from your computer. Including the containers for Office. Then reinstalling the suite for Mac:

    Try opening Word in safe mode and see if it freezes then. Hold the CTRL button down while you are opening Word and select open in safe mode. If it does not freeze, we might need to reset Word to defaults, click the following link and select the fix it.

    If that does not help. try repairing Office from the control panel:

    Click on the Start button in Windows, or type control panel in the search bar. Click on uninstall a program, click on Microsoft Office and click change at the top menu. Try a quick repair first and if that does not work try an online repair.
