I have no idea if this is what fixed mine or if it was simply trying over and over again, but I changed my default browser to Edge instead of Safari and no longer received the oauth error.
Setting up Gmail account on Outlook app on iPhone
I am trying to set up a Gmail account on my Outlook app on my iPhone but after I have signed in and selected the Microsoft apps & services, it directs me to a screen with a question mark and this message 'oauth2redirect (data - Zero KB). I have been trying to set up the email numerous times without success. Please advise what I can do. Thank you.

2024-10-21T11:21:53+00:00 The problem for me was that I had removed the native iOS mail application.
Once I redownloaded the application I could get access to the Mail settings via: Settings > Apps > Mail where I could delete the original Gmail configuration. If you then go back into Outlook and start the setup process again you should be able to add it without issue. Only once you have you done this can you then remove the native mail app again.

2024-10-21T11:04:56+00:00 Hello Shirley_Lam,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
I understand that you are experiencing issues when adding a Gmail account to Outlook for iOS.
Recently, some users have reported the same issue.
You can try removing the Microsoft services permissions from your Gmail account and then re-adding the account.
- Sign in to your Google account on google.com.
- Select your profile picture in the top corner and select Manage your Google Account.
- On the left side menu, select Security.
- Scroll down to Your connections to third-party apps & services and select Microsoft apps & services.
- Locate Microsoft apps & services has some access to your Google Account and select See Details.
- Under Access you’ve given to Microsoft apps & services, select Remove all access.
- Select Confirm.
This method may not necessarily resolve the issue, but it is worth trying. Some users have reported that they were able to successfully add their Gmail account after multiple attempts. Others have found that their Gmail account was successfully added after a long period.
Since the cause and solution for this issue are not yet clear, I recommend temporarily using another email app or webmail as an alternative.
You can send your feedback in Settings > Help & Feedback. Your feedback is very important, and we appreciate your contribution.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
