How to make Edge stop importing from chrome?

I've read the other posts around this topic and have gone to settings to verify that auto import is turned off. (Had a picture for proof but uploading an image keeps failing...). So, after turning off the auto import and deleting all the favorites and browser data in edge, I then close it and reopen it at which point it seemingly reimports it all. Please tell me how to make it stop.

    Hello,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and posting to the community.

To turn off automatic importing from Chrome, please type "edge://settings/profiles/importBrowsingData/importonLaunch" in the Edge address bar to enter automatic importing settings, and turn off automatic importing there.

Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.

    edge://settings/profiles/importBrowsingData/importonLaunch

I have this same problem on Win11. The issue here is it is still importing browser data from Chrome (passwords and bookmarks), but isn't enabled (not turned on).

This may be by design. The true fix is just to disable/uninstall Edge.

Edge will continue to sync Chrome bookmarks on startup, regardless of this setting. It is a bug and needs to be addressed as it is both annoying and could be seen as a breach of privacy/security since the chrome browser may be synced to another personsa.
