    None of them worked. Feeling frustrated each time while opening any excel file. Each time I have to open one blank file and keep it minimise then only I can open another excel file of my choice.

    Hi Kamal,

    I'm very sorry for the troubles this issue has caused. I'll do my best to help you fix it. To check if this issue is related to the add-ins, please try the following steps to open Excel in the Safe Mode:

    1. Close all Excel windows;
    2. Press Windows key + R to open Run;
    3. Copy the following command into Run and press Enter: excel /safe

    To check if the issue is caused by the other applications, your may perform a clean boot and open Excel only to see if the issue still exists.

    To check if the issue is related to the corrupted account profile, you may create a new user account, then switch to this new account and see if the issue could be fixed.

    If my above suggestions couldn't work, I'd appreciate it if you could go to File > Account > capture a screenshot of the detailed version information so that we could test it for you from our side.

    Best Regards,

    Nathan

    Dear Nathan

    Thanks for your feedback, I think there gap in understanding the problem. let me explain again ....

    1. When I open a fresh Exe file and select as black file option I can see no problem while working on Exe file.
    2. When I want to open a previously saved file then Exe file opens but only up to ready status and does not allow work as it grey out all other field ( check Screen shot)
    3. The only way to open the previously saved file is, that I open a blank Exe file first (Dummy file) and then keep it at Minimize state at tool bar and then open the older files then Exe loads properly as normal.

    The problem with above method is that some times while closing the other windows erroneously the dummy file window also get close and problem frustrates again for next Exe file.

    Hope this clarifies the issue.

    Hi Kamal,

    Thank you for the information you shared with us. I notice that you have already updated to the latest version 1906 (Build 11727.20210), and since we couldn't reproduce the same issue with this same build, this issue shouldn't be related to the Excel application.

    To check if this issue is caused by syncing of the files, please try creating a workbook in your local folder (for example, right-click on your desktop > select "New" to create a new workbook) and see if the issue would appear on this new workbook.

    Meanwhile, you may also refer to the following steps to disable the Excel add-ins and see if this would fix the issue:

    1. Go to File > Options > Add-ins;
    2. Select "Excel Add-ins" in "Manage" > Go > uncheck all the add-ins > OK > restart Excel.

    Please let us know if there is any update.

    Best Regards,

    Nathan
