I am trying to activate a MS P software. If I try to use my outlook account it does not work. How do I activate the account if I cannot log on to outlook.com. do I need to set up a different account?

    Hello BenettBolek,

When a company or school signs up for an Office 365 for Business subscription, Microsoft will create a new domain with this onmicrosoft.com domain for the company. For example, @contoso.onmicrosoft.com. The Office 365 admins of a company can create new user accounts with this @contoso.onmicrosoft.com domain and manage the data under this tenant.

May I know what application you activated and what error message you see? Please capture some screenshots for further check so that I can understand your scenario.

    Regards,

    Rick

Can I understand what you mean by MS P software?

onmicrosoft.com refers to an administrative domain that you create, when you activate a commercial Office365 subscription.

For example if the company Acme Inc signs up for a commercial Office365 subscription, the first step it needs to do in order to setup that subscription is to select an administrative domain : acme.onmicrosoft.com

However if the particular administrative domain is already taken by someone else, then Acme might need to settle for Acme123.onmicrosoft.com

So before we go further, perhaps you can let us know what type of Microsoft licenses have you subscribed to?

This is not required if you signed up for a personal Office365 subscription.
