Forward lookup zones in two forests

Hi

In Forest 1, we have 20 forward lookup zones in DNS for subdomains, for example:
Hello.domain.com
Bye.domain.dom
Etc

We have conditional forwarding between forest 1 and 2 and a two way trust. PCs are in Forest 2, resolving the subdomains in Forest 1.

Can we safely move the forward lookup zones to forest 2 to simplify the DNS lookups?
The aim is to eventually move all the FLZs to forest 2.

I'm hoping PCs will simply resolve the subdomains irrespective of the forest.

Thanks
