Windows Passwordless Phone (Authenticator) Login Hybrid Joined Devices

Question

We are testing the possibility for a Windows login without password on hybrid joined Windows 10 clients.
Therefore we have one client and one useraccount prepared for it.

Passwordless authentication on the Azure portal works fine.
The passwordless authentication on a local Windows 10 client does not work. On the login screen the possibility for that type of authentication doesn´t shows up. That can have a lot of reasons.

Before we go on with testing we would like to know if it is possible to log on that way on Windows.

We found different statements in forums. An official statement from Microsoft we didn´t find. We already successfully tested it with Azure AD Joined (not hybrid joined) devices.
The question is; does this setup also work with Hybrid Joined Devices?

@Microsoft Q & A 7922 Authenticator App for logging to a Hybrid AAD join machine does not work.
For that scenario you have to use FIDO keys or windows hello for business if you want to go password less.
