RDP: randomly changing lock key status

Hi,

Whenever I use remote desktop to go from my Windows Laptop to my HTPC some of the lock keys change state (caps lock, num lock and/-or scroll lock), this happens when switching between the machines as well, not just when I first connect. I get a notification in the session and I sometimes see another notification leaving the session. Sometimes my keyboard lights match what the remote session says, sometimes they don't. It's incredibly annoying.

I was able to find a lot of examples of people looking to keep lock states aligned between sessions, but nobody seems to have them randomly switching. I think this may have started happening after a windows update, but as I don't usually RDP to this machine much, it's been like this for a while (months) and thus I can't be sure (used directly the issue doesn't seem to exist). I don't have another machine to RDP from right now, but could set one up if need be to test if it has the same issue.

My InitialKeyboardIndicators setting on the HTPC is set to 0.

Anybody any ideas how I might solve this issue?

Thanks!
