Excel - Ideas feature!

Question

I have just seen the Ideas feature in Excel, which looks like it could be very useful.  In some of the supporting Microsoft tutorials you show a question box in the ideas bar or preview bar, again that would be useful.  I cannot see the the question box?  How can I see the question box?  Thank you!

Hi Pawel, 

I can't see "Ask a question about your data" in Current Channel, Semi-annual Enterprise Channel and Semi-annual Enterprise Channel (Preview). 

Based on the screenshot you provided, I assume you are using  Semi-annual Enterprise Channel or Semi-annual Enterprise Channel (Preview). We are sorry that this feature is not supported in these versions. Based on the article,  it will be released to all the channels gradually. Since every feature will be published by the production team and it's hard to know the exact date of it as we have limited resources.

Thank you! We will wait for this feature to be included in our version and we will give feedback in Excel, that's a good thing to know too!

Hello Ivy,

The analysing tool of Ideas works without any problem, it is just the query box at the top of the pane that doesn't appear (the box in which you enter your question). Is it a set-up issue? How do I fix this?

Hi,

Could you share what version of Office you are using?

As per Natural Language Queries in Ideas, the query box in the Ideas pane is now available to Microsoft 365 subscribers in English.  If you are an Microsoft 365 subscriber, make sure you have the latest version of Office.
