Azure Connection Monitor between VM and Monitor Agent

I would like to meausre the Round Trip Time between a Virtual Machine and my local computer using a Connection Monitor. I've connected my router to my virtual network using a virtual network gateway and my local computer is connected via WLAN to the router. I have also installed the Windows Log Agent on my computer.
My computer is also found under "Log Analytics / Logs". However, I cannot select my computer as a "destination" during the Connection Monitor configuration. Can somebody please help?

This document has detailed steps on how to configure the Connection Monitor . From the information provided , I am not sure if you have installed Network Watcher extension or not. So , I would suggest you to follow the steps and share your findings at what point were you facing the issue.

I tried to follow the steps of the document, however, when I run the script "EnableRules.ps1" I get an error message, that for some reasons closing ")" and "}" are missing?! Thus I manually opened port 8084 in Windows Defender Firewall.
I also have a Network Watcher Subscription and it is possible to add a connection monitor between two virtual machines.
I also installed a Log Analytics Agent on my local machine - according to the Microsoft Monitoring Agent Properties, the Agent has successfully connected to Azure.
However, it is not possible to select my on-premises agent as End Point in the Connection Monitor.
EDIT: I can connect directly to my local IP of my local machine in the Connection Monitor - however I don't get any RTT values. Under "IP Floy Verify" I also can connect from the VM to my local IP using Port 8084 (inbound and outbound).
EDIT2: Interestingly the "Connection Troubleshoot" application cannot connect to my local machine.
