Office 365 Excel does NOT open CSV files

I recently upgraded to Office 365 and now Excel can't read CSV files automatically.

I went to Settings -> Apps -> Default Apps. Then  "Choose default apps by file type" and right-mouse clicked CSV,  and the only option is Look for an app in the Microsoft Store. I don't need to buy the app in the MS Store. I already have it.

And when I try to associate CSV with applications already installed, I can't find Excel. Where's Excel executable file on my  desktop now??

Thanks!

    Hi RLO,

    Thank you for your reply and sharing the video. I noticed that the screen record version contains some personal information, such as your email address, company name, etc. Hence, I need to mask your link due to privacy concerns since this is a public forum. Thank you for your understanding.

    However, I have checked out your video. If Excel application is not listed in the app list. You may can try to manually add it by following steps.

    1: launch “open with another app” menu

    2: Scroll the list to the bottom and choose “Look for another app on this PC”. and check the option “Always use this app to open .csv files.”

    3: In the window pops up, go to Excel.exe location.

    Generally, it will be located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16.

    Then choose Excel.exe and open.

    = ===============================

    If you are not sure about the location you can go to Start menu, search “Excel.exe” to open file location to find the directory.

    Best regards,

    Dihao
