Hi... I'm facing problem to backup my Desktop to OneDrive. It says this file "OneNote Table Of Contents.onetoc2" file is in Desktop but I couldn't find the file anywhere inside the computer.
Please assist me on this issue as I had tried numerous ways to resolve the issue but to no avail.
Thanks in advance.

Please check whether is any folder on your desktop.
If yes, please continue to check do you share any folder on a network?
It‘s recommended to open OneNote, then go to NoteBook lnformation, look at each path of the notebooks, check whether there is any one points to a folder in desktop folder.
If you find it, please backup the folder, then click Settings button in OneNote, close this notebook, delete this folder in desktop to have a check.

Hi Emily,
I've searched everywhere and found no traces of any OneNote file on the Desktop. I've also searched through hidden files & folders in the entire OS drive to no avail. For your info, I had never used the One Note application before.
Please provide me with other solutions to this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Dear Emily,
I followed your steps in looking for the .onetoc2 file using PowerShell and found the file hidden under system configuration setting file which I might had accidentally open in OneNote long time ago (which I couldn't recall when). Now OneDrive can sync my Desktop perfectly without any issue!
Thank you very much for your kind and patient assistance in guiding me to resolve this matter. Sincere appreciation to your good help! :D
Best Regards,
