How to add, backup, and sync ANY local folder from my computer to One Drive?

Hi, 

I am using OneDrive for Business. I want to add a local folder to One drive without having it to save inside the "My OneDrive Folder" location. 

For example, say my One Drive is installed in D:\OneDrive. Now, if I want to sync a folder, ANY_FOLDER from E drive to One Drive, it seems like I have to move this folder inside D:\Onedrive to have it backed up or synced. This works. However, this is slowly using up all my space in that drive, D !! I know about the File-on-Demand feature of One drive, but I am not looking for this solution.

So, how can I backup and sync ANY_FOLDER to Onedrive without having it to move to One-Drive-Installation location, D:\OneDrive? I want my ANY_FOLDER to stay in its original location, E drive. 

This feature is available in Google Drive, for example. After you install 'Backup and Sync from Google', I can sync any folder from any location or drive to Google Drive. In Google Drive it just shows up under 'My Computer'. 

Is something similar not available for One Drive?

According to your description, you would like to add, backup and sync any local folders to OneDrive, if so, based on my experience, currently we can move know folders (Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Screenshots, and Camera Roll) to OneDrive to help improve the work efficiency.

If you want to sync all folders in other drive to OneDrive, I’m afraid this is the limit of OneDrive, but I have searched a lot, if you are willing, you may create MKlink to sync any directory to your OneDrive.

Hi Palcouk, 

No, I am not talking about this feature. This feature only allows me to choose folders what's already inside my One Drive, and then have them on Demand. I am talking about a folder that is outside the One Drive folder.
