Modern SharePoint: Collapsible Sections No Longer Allows Editing Section Title

Good Afternoon!

Since yesterday, (December 2nd, 2021), an issue had begun with the Collapsible Sections that is impacting the two SharePoint sites I am responsible for.

The issue summarized:

• When creating a section and enabling the Collapsible section, the Section Title cannot be edited - the text entry field that should populate does not
• All existing sections that were already moved over to Collapsible sections still have their title but cannot be edited.

It appears like this:

It still allows to add web parts within the section, but not having access to a title or label option compromises display and search functionality.

I have done basic troubleshooting and tried on multiple browsers to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas or have heard of similar reports?

Title: Users can't update the 'Section Title' when setting the page selection to be collapsible in modern SharePoint Online

User Impact: Users couldn't update the 'Section Title' when setting the modern SharePoint Online page selection to be collapsible.

Final status: Our investigation is complete, and we've verified that a recent change intended to enhance the SharePoint Online modern user experience exposed a regression which subsequently inhibited users from updating the 'Section Title' in collapsible page selection in modern SharePoint Online. To resolve the issue, we reverted this change to restore users to a previous, unaffected experience, and validated through the reports of some formerly affected users that resolution has been achieved.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to update the 'Section Title' when setting up a page in SharePoint Online may have experienced impact.

I do a test again and I can reproduce the issue now and I'm afraid that it is an issue in the section settings on the modern page in SharePoint Online which may be needed to be fixed by our related team directly from backend. I kindly suggest you contact the administrators in your organizations and let them open a support ticket to our related team for further fix as soon as possible.

Same issue here, no new titles offered and existing titles can not be edited!

Bad bug!

Need this resolved quickly, am in the middle of an intranet update round.

Could not have come on a worse moment.

Hope Microsoft takes this issue very serious, people are counting on these features.

I tried the following and the issue had still occurred:

• Edited an existing page > Attempted to Edit an existing Collapsible Section
• Edited an existing page > Created a new section, making it collapsible
• Created a new page with blank template > Created a new section, making it collapsible

Unfortunately the same issue continues to impact both SharePoint sites. That Title text entry field that you see in your image is still missing.

I have the exact same issue. Started today (December 3) around 2:00-3:00pm EST. I was able to create and edit the collapsible sections earlier today. Now I have the exact experience described above.
