I create a monthly newsletter in word in a large table. I need to reduce the space BETWEEN the rows as there is too much space. I cannot find anything to help answer my question.

Spacing above and below the text in a table cell will depend on the top and bottom cell margins, but also on the line spacing and spacing before/after that have been defined for the text in cells.

You can post a screen shot, if you wish.

Or maybe you can share a sample document?

To change the space before and after text in tables:

    1. Choose Layout>Select>Table.
    2. Select Home>Paragraph and set the Before and After amounts to 0.
    3. While the table is selected, its also worth checking Layout (beside Table Design)>Properties>Options and check that Top and Bottom cell margins are set to 0.

so the space between the photos and the previous texts are different rows. I want to bring them closer together. Eliminate the space between. If I don't separate the photos in split cells, when I email the newsletter the photos move and sometimes they don't show up.

Thanks John, I read your previous posts, and that's not what I needed to do. I need to eliminate the space between the two rows so it looks congruent. I sent an image

Have you tried hovering your mouse over a row bottom border and dragging it up to reduce the row height?

Please choose Layout (beside Table Design)>View Gridlines and post another screen shot. Without gridlines or text borders showing, there's no way we can see what the problem might be. Or post the file to a cloud service and post a share link here, so we can take a look.
