How to stop proofing for Possible word choice error

So, I am writing a novel and the main character has two mothers which apparently didn't sit very well with MS words and its proofing system, I could only ignore once but whenever I typed "mothers", blue line showed up which pisses me off. I have the editor function on with it set to formal writing, UK English, using the default dictionary. It only happened to the word "mothers" and "Fathers" by the way, sad.

How on earth does 'mothers' became a problem is beyond my imagination, I had been searching through the grammar setting and struggled to find the option to disable this whole 'possible word choice error', god knows Microsoft ain't gonna do anything about it, I am willing to give up this whole possible word choice error proofing altogether just so it won't keep asking me to correct it every time I open the file, I need to know which options I should tick off or anyway to stop this.

Hello,

Greetings for the day!

I understand your concern and apologies for the inconvenience.

Option 1: Disable proofing You can deselect the check boxes inside "proofing options", this will avoid unnecessary suggestions. Go to Word File > Options > Proofing options

OR

  1. Select the word or phrase ("mothers")
  2. Navigate to the "REVIEW" tab.
  3. Click on the "Language" button.
  4. Choose "Set Proofing Language" from the drop-down.
  5. In the small window that pops up, place a check mark in the box for "Do not check spelling or grammar" and Click OK.

Option 2: Disable autocorrect option To prevent Word from automatically correcting any word that is contained in the dictionary that is being used, turn off the Automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker option. To do this, click AutoCorrect Options on the Tools menu. On the AutoCorrect tab, click to clear the Automatically use suggestions from the spelling checker check box.

Option 3: Add entry to an AutoCorrect list

  1. Go to the AutoCorrect tab.
  2. In the Replace box, type a word or phrase that you often misspell.
  3. In the With box, type the correct spelling of the word.
  4. Select Add.
