Junk Emails Suddenly going to Inbox Feb 2023

Hi, I had my hotmail account for over 20 years and I never had an issue like this. As of this morning at 4am ALL of my junk emails are going to my inbox. No settings have been amended.

Since I've had this account for many years every 5 minutes I receive a junk in my inbox. Ive searched for a solution online but all I can see is for outlook and not outlook/hotmail 365. I've tried everything at this point, from rules to flagging wit no help. Has anyone experienced the same? Microsoft doesnt seem to have a customer service team to help?

    You have tried changing the junk email filter?

    It seems to be a system problem since it should not be penetrating into the inbox. it is better you contact Microsoft Support directly about this.

    You can reach them out using this link:

    and then choose Microsoft 365 and click for Home or Business. Type "Office" into the description box and choose any from the dropdown and click Get Help. Below the recommended articles, sign in using your Microsoft account to access their contact page

    Hi there, thank you for your reply. Ive tried contacting Microsoft but for hotmail 365 they only give me in app help which is not helpful. I havent changed any filter settings, ibe had my acct for a long time and everything remains the same.

    Ah okay, Im in the UK so it might be a system issue then? Were you able to help any help from microsoft at all?

    I am experiencing the same problem and the filter options are already checked to filter hotmail to a junk mailbox but they continue to filter to my inbox. I had 52 this morning the most I’ve had In one day. I might try changing my password or something maybe the accounts have been hacked. I was going to shut it down because I only use it for store emails mainly. I hope someone out there can resolve this issue.
