According to your description, please try the following suggestions to troubleshoot the situation.
- Please try to update Excel to the latest version. After that, please check again.
- Please move the cache folder to Desktop, then check again
Close and quit Excel
Use Finder, click Go, go to ~/Library/Containers/, move the folder Microsoft Excel to Desktop, then run Excel and test again.
If the situation still happens after trying the above suggestions, I would like to collect more information.
- Does the situation only happen to Word or also happen to other Office applications, like Excel?
