How do you manage permissions on Loop Workspaces?

We are putting a company 'hub' together with employee handbook etc, but don't want the whole company to be able to edit or delete these pages. How can we adjust their access to 'read-only', whilst having them saved in the workspace?

    Hi Fiona Gordon

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Managing permissions on Microsoft Loop Workspaces is easy and flexible. You can control who can view, edit, or delete your pages by adjusting the sharing settings of each page. To do this, open the page you want to share and click on the Share button at the top right corner. Then, you can choose to share the page with specific people, groups, or anyone with a link. You can also set the permission level for each recipient, such as read-only, comment, or edit. If you want to share your employee handbook and other important pages with the whole company, but only allow certain people to edit or delete them, you can share the pages with everyone in your organization and set their permission level to read-only. Then, you can add the people who need to edit or delete the pages as co-owners of the pages. This way, you can ensure that your company hub is accessible and secure.

We look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely

    Hi Juhn,

Thank you for the quick response.

I have tried this, but the page doesn't save to any workspace etc, so unless they use that individual link each time they can't access it. Is there a way to give them read-only access to the workspace as a whole? Whilst having the workspace saved on their loop?

    Hi Fiona Gordon

    Thank you for your reply!

For now, this is the only possible way available since this product is still on Office insider program and not yet stable. I encourage you to provide feedback about this matter.

    Hi,

I have the same question/issue and when I tried to share a page by only allowing my colleagues to read, they were in fact able to modify it (the link generated seems to be the same whatever option selected).

    Regards,

I tried that and the new link I generated did not change anything. It clearly said "edit" rather than "view" but when I copied the link it did not save the changes.
