Can't export notebook from OneNote "Sorry we can't create |0 It's possible you don't have the right permissions or disk space".

Dear support team,

I have problems exporting my OneNote notebook. When I try to export the notebook, I keep getting this error ""Sorry we can't create |0 It's possible you don't have the right permissions or disk space".

-To solve the issue I tried to rearrange the tabs as suggested at the link below:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/non-alphabetical-order-breaks-export-to-onenote/926fbe1e-eb85-4a12-92bf-b47868e1729c

-I also tried to open OneNote and synchronize from another pc user (windows account), without success. However, I'm able to synchronize OneNote when I use my own pc user (windows account).

-cleaned history and cookies/catches

-I restarted the pc, but it didn’t help. I also tried to export the notebook from another pc.

However I'm able to export other notebooks.

Hope you can help

Best regards,
Mark

    Dear Mark,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

As per your description, you cannot export your notebook, you get error message "Sorry we can't create |0 It's possible you don't have the right permissions or disk space".

We appreciate you share with us the troubleshooting steps you have tried. For the situation you encountered, we do understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

We'd like to help you, please let us cooperate, we can work together to narrow down the situation.

Since you can export other notebooks, it seems like issue only happens to the specific notebook.

May I know if you export notebook from File>Export>select Notebook, then OneNote Package(*.onepkg)?

To narrow down the issue, if you try to export each of your notebook section from File>Export>select Section, does same error message still appear?

To better help you, we'd like to collect following information:

1.Is the notebook saved in OneDrive for business or personal OneDrive?

2.We didn't reproduce the error message when testing in OneNote. Could you share with us your OneNote version? We'd like to test in same version as yours.

Please go to File>Account, capture a screenshot of Product Information, as shown below.

Thanks for your time and cooperation! We hope you stay safe and healthy always.

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator

Another obscure reason for this message can be a password protected section.

    Dear Tina,

Thank you for reaching out. I did try to export the notebook in the same way that you mentioned "File>Export>select Notebook, then OneNote Package(*.onepkg)".This works when I try to do it with other notebooks however when I try export the notebook that I primarily use I get the error.

All of my notebooks have been saved In OneDrive (school account), as well as my personal pc for backup. At the moment I have the OneNote app settings to "save in OneDrive".

I was able to export and save all the sections when I tried to export each section individually. But Onenote will still not allow the entire notebook to be exported.

    It's written in Danish.

    Dear Mark,

Thank you for posting back. We appreciate your precious time doing tests and then share with us the result.

We understand the error message only happens when you try to export a specific notebook, and you can export each of the section individually.

To do further troubleshooting, you may try to create a new notebook, then copy each section from the original notebook to the new notebook, see if you can export the new notebook. If it works, use it as a workaround.

Is it the first time you export the notebook in OneNote? Did you successfully export it in previous?

Thanks for your time and cooperation! Hope you have a wonderful day!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator

I have tried to migrate all the section to a new notebook however now I can't synchronize the new notebook across different devices.. I would also like to change the https address to an https://"enterprise name"-my.sharepoint.com. How do I do that so I'm able to backup the OneNote on the correct OneDrive. Second how do I solve the issue of synchronizing the new notebook?

I'm not allowed to export the new notebook before I can synchronize/save it properly according to OneNote.

    Best regards,
    Mark
