Hello community,
I created a Sharepoint site from my team on MS Teams. what will happen when I leave my company and my account will be disabled? My Sharepoint site will be deleted? If I add someone else as owner, the Sharepoint will be alive even I leave company, right?
Thanks!

Dear Trinh Tuan Duong,
If both the team and the SharePoint site have other owners besides you, they will not be deleted after you leave the company.

Hello Xu,
I cannot find out Sharepoint admin center, It seems to be controlled by our company administrator team instead of normal user.
I wonder that if I create a team channel on MS Teams and assign someone else as Owner as me, then I leave company, my team channel still alive ( not be deleted), right? If yes, so my Sharepoint site created from this team channel still alive as well. Am I correct?
Dear Trinh Tuan Duong,
Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.
Based on your description, you are a creator for a SharePoint team site, and you will leave company.
Given this situation, you can transfer ownership of this site via SharePoint admin center > Sites > Active sites > Select the site > Under Membership tab you can add another user as admin.
Note: Sometimes it may take a while to take effect after you remove the user as site admins before the user can access.
If you still have concern about it, or my understanding is wrong, please feel free to post back.
Sincerely,
Jazlyn | Microsoft Community Moderator
