How can I repeat a header row, using Word online, across pages, as part of a table?

In the layout tab, the ribbon doesn't show anything for 'Table tools'.

Thanks.

I can't see the option to repeat the header row within the ribbon and tab.

It works fine within the Word document itself, but I can't get the same to happen in the browser version.

    Dear SDZN,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and I would like to convey that the behavior you are observing is by design in the Word for the web, where you are finding the difference between Word for the web and Word application in these references:

Word Features Comparison: Web vs Desktop - Microsoft Support

Differences between using a document in the browser and in Word - Microsoft Support

Moreover, for the Table Layout tool, please click on the Table and go the Table Layout beside the Table Design (In your screenshot, please check the last tab in the ribbon).

If you want to use the full functionality, please open your Word document in the Word application as a workaround.

At last, I suggest you to add your valuable idea as a feedback in the Word · Community (microsoft.com) which is the best place to share our ideas and improve the Microsoft products.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia

First of all, select the row(s) that you want to define as header row(s).

Repeat Header Rows is in the Data group on the (Table) Layout contextual tab.

Alternatively, use the Table Properties dialog box.

Thanks for this Stefan. Just to confirm, it works fine in the Word document.

But the header rows do not repeat when I view the file directly in the browser.

    I assume it's a bug as I looked elsewhere before posting and I couldn't find a resolution.
