How to Create Dynamic QR Codes

Hello I have been trying to create a QR code that is dynamic based on the value entered in a cell with no luck. From what I have found so far it looks like the best solution would be to use the "=Image" function and a Google API link (https://chart.googleapis.com/chart? In order to get my dynamic barcode but when I enter the formula =IMAGE("https://chart.googleapis.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=100X100&chl="&D2) I get a "#Connect!" error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
