Why is New Outlook so rubbish?

Question

New Outlook has none of the features that made old Outlook such a great product. No Rules, filters, unable to sort alphabetically then action on a group of items.

It doesn't send mail but puts in Drafts without even a warning. Then you can't edit and send. It just says 'something went wrong'.

When I left old Outlook running overnight, it would be there and working the next day. New Outlook crashes and won't receive mails - have to shut down and restart.

How can you say this is a usable product????? Did you do any system testing before releasing to the unsuspecting public?

If you, Microsoft, don't sort this out you're going to be losing a lot of customers.

Outlook (new) is absolute junk. I gave it 2 full months of use to give it a chance and experienced the following issues:

• unable to send / receive email
• uninstalled / reinstalled 4 times
• multiple crashes
• general navigation is very clunky such as unable to scroll through months in calendar
• setting up calendar appointments or invites once the screen is open will magically disappear
• saving contacts is clunky and the formatting of names is inconsistent
• illogical dictionary that does not allow you to add words to

Therefore I'm 100% done with the "new" Outlook. Back to the semi-reliable Classic Outlook. Really, with the resources a company such as Microsoft has there is literally no excuse for such poor functionality.

I have given up with Outlook altogether. I have had all the same problems reported by others. Emails not sent. Irate people asking for my reply several times when I thought it had been sent. I've been using Blue Mail for years on my phone. I have just loaded it on my PC. It is intuitive and reliable. Goodbye, good riddance Outlook!

Sorry, just so we're clear here..

You're not intending for "New Outlook" to replace c based "Outlook", from what I can gather from your post, you're saying that "New Outlook" is a bit like "Windows Mail"?

If this is the case, why call it "New Outlook"? "Outlook" is a product, within a brand, which is a solid product. New Outlook on the other hand is... Underwhelming.

FOR THIS EXACT REASON I DELETED MY OUTLOOK, THE NEW OUTLOOK IS PURE ****, MADE UP BY SOME IDIOT AT CORPORATE OFFICE WHO TRIED TO GET NEW PRODUCTS TO SELL AT THE MAN. PURE ****!!!!!!! FOR BILLION COMPANY THIS SHOULD BE SCRAP, SAD PART I CANT GO BACK TO THE OLD OUTLOOK, FORCES TO COMPLETELY ABANDDON MICROSOFT PRODUCTS.

Every new email I receive goes into the junk folder. I am currently looking for work and every response I receive from a new prospective employer goes into the junk folder. Let me decide what is junk MS, I am more qualified to decide than anyone there. As far as I am concerned the new Outlook is garbage. Microsoft have lost the plot IMO.
