I found my solution!
I needed to click "see all" in order to work in the actual Document Library firstly, and then all the usual options were available.

I want to move a file into another folder on sharepoint, I cannot find a drop down menu to allow me to do this, I can only create new folders etc

Hi Julia, If you are not seeing the "Move to" button, it is possible that you do not have the necessary permissions to move files in the document library. You may need to contact your SharePoint administrator to request the appropriate permissions.
I have the same issue as Julia.
I am the SharePoint Administrator - I created this SharePoint - and yet I am unable to move a document into a newly created folder in the document library. There is no "move to" or "copy to" option.
Do you have another solution please?
