SharePoint list view ui is changed to Microsoft list ui

I encountered a problem where the appearance of all lists on a SharePoint site has changed to resemble Microsoft Lists, but this issue is only affecting one specific user and the list ui is fine with any other users.

Despite attempting to adjust the site settings using a Site Collection Administrator (SCA) account, navigating to Settings -> Site Information -> View All Site Settings -> Navigation Elements -> Enable Lists in Site (Show header and navigation), the issue persists for User 2. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

We are starting to see this change across our business too and not a good experience. A lot of our custom list/view formatting is breaking, which is causing havoc, the ability for people to clear our filtered views is horrible, and the tabs (views) across the top are also not great, especially when you have a lot of custom views. In addition, the filters labels are showing the internal names of our columns (how hard can it be to get this right).

We are only seeing the new MS List view in some of our SharePoint lists and only for certain users which is making it an even worse experience.

Microsoft, I've seen some bad implementations and rollouts, but this one takes the cake. Please provide us a way to disable this change until you fix everything (should have been done before the initial rollout).

I am having the same issue with a single user. I have a ticket open with Microsoft, but they fail to understand the problem, and now I am going on 10 days where the user essentially cannot work because of this.

Here are some key points to my issue

    • User sees the MS List view instead of the MS SharePoint Modern List regardless of browser, computer, and location. We have tested Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Edge on Mac and on PC. While working remote and while working on-site.
    • The issue started suddenly and affects ALL SharePoint sites. Every single list that exists at the company is not displayed in the MS SharePoint Modern List experience.

I am hoping to get a resolution soon, as this seems to be a problem with Microsoft. It is not a setting or configuration we can change ourselves. Overall, extremely frustrating.

    Hi everyone!
    This worked for me:

    1. Integrate your SP Lists with Power Apps > "Customize forms".
    2. Once you're in Power Apps, "publish" your Form.
    3. Save changes
    4. Go back to SharePoint Lists
    5. Refresh

Now, you migt be able to see the modern UI again!

Microsoft has to do something about this nonsense. Since the SharePoint lists starting rendering in the new "Microsoft Lists" UI, half the time my lists won't even show all the data in the list. Even when you open the edit form on the list, it looks like the data is missing. But if you refresh enough times or access the list just right, the missing data reappears. I can't believe MS would screw up SharePoint like this, just unacceptable.
