Default value date and time not displaying in my SharePoint lists

None of my SharePoint lists are pulling in the current date and time when i set the default value as "todays date" The section is blank. Almost as if the SharePoint site is unable to locate the date a rime from anywhere. I have tried the regional settings in the SharePoint site but that has made no difference. I have set it to a different region and then set it back to London etc

It also doesn't work if I use the calculated value and use =NOW() - Same issue just a blank box. it was working for a week prior to this bug displaying.

I think that SharePoint is not locating the current time from our region some of the users are reporting that they are 2 hours ahead of the time Zone when looking at their contact card on team.

this site is not allowing me to set up a screenshot sorry.

Dear Tristan Fareel (VUNHST - Digital Services)

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. I am happy to help you

I didn't experience the same situation in my tests.

To further troubleshoot this phenomenon, I want to confirm if this phenomenon is happening in multiple Lists? This phenomenon occurs only if it is a specific list, and you try to move the data to a new list.

If this phenomenon occurs in multiple lists, it is possible that there is a problem on the server side, I kindly recommended you can raise a service request in Microsoft 365 admin center, which the support there has the related permission and resource to help you check from the backend

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator

I thought it was just me. We have several lists where the date has a default of either the built in "Today" or some are calculated to add dates and none of them are working starting within the last 24 hours. The field is blank on a New Item form, if you go to manually select a day, you can see it is visually highlighting the correct day it should be assigning by default.

This is happening to me today as well. Default dates are not showing up.

Beginning yesterday, we are experiencing this issue as well. Users click "New" to create a new entry in a SharePoint Online list. The list has a "Date and time" column with the "Default Value = Today's Date". This used to default to the current day and time. Now it is blank.

The field is blank. However, it should have a default value.

I also am seeing this while using =NOW(), and have reported it as an issue in my M365 portal. This was working fine earlier last week.
