OneDrive: Shared folders are only available via internet shortcut

I am having problems with shared folders in OneDrive. They are showing up as internet shortcuts only, I used to have them in File Explorer as a folder that I would click on to access content of that shared folder. My IT person found a website stating that Microsoft is aware of this issue. When will this be fixed?

    Hello, Reception Skyway Park

Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.

We are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. The url files will automatically convert back to folders when the issue is resolved. For now, we recommend accessing shared folders that are in this state on OneDrive.com.

Please refer to this information here:

Has a fix been issued for this yet? Is it machine specific? Or account specific?

    Dear Matt,

This issue may be due to an internal error affecting data synchronization and handling within the OneDrive service. It has indeed affected some users, Microsoft has acknowledged the problem and is actively seeking a solution.

I have been keeping track of and monitoring many of threads, including yours. Please be assured that once a solution is found, I will notify everyone.

I monitor this schedule daily. As it is confidential, it is intended solely for internal use. I will be vigilant in observing everyone's responses. Your patience with these known issues is highly valued and appreciated.

    Best regards,

    HI

we are also having this issue and is severely affecting the day to day running of our small business. Is there a time scale when this will be fixed please? How will we know when it is fixed and what action do we need to take to resolve this?

    Regards
