Hi Guys,

We have 4 Portals to migrate to SharePoint 2016 from SharePoint 2013, out of 4 Portal I have migrated 2 Portal using Content Db - Migration method. But other 2 portals are giving me upgrade blocking errors and its has SharePoint 2010 Site Templates, also workflows.

My question is what type of migration I should perform to migrate this Portals, and how I can overcome this error. I have searched but no help , also I don't want to disturb the branding area since the portals which are giving me error are publishing portals.

Thanks in advance

    Hello @mohammed badruddin ,

"Upgrade blocked" means that this server has upgrades installed which are missing on other servers with status "Installation required" .

You have to check which patch installed on that server which they did not installed on other servers. So install that patch on remaining servers then run the PSconfig wizard.

Move to SharePoint 2013 Central Administration >> Upgrade and Migration >> Check product and patch installation status. Compare exactly the installed updates on each server and find out which one is missing.

You can find more information about Versions and installed updates in this excellent article: SharePoint does not have a build version. Full Stop.

    Thanks,
