how to align rows in excel?

I have a large file containing materials inventory, but when downloaded into Excel, the location and quantity are in one sheet, and the description/part# is in another sheet. The PART ID and ID CODE columns are the only references to align descriptions and part numbers with locations and quantities. Please find a screenshot of the spreadsheet attached.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Tarciso, from what I can see here, this isn't an Excel issue. This is probably the way your inventory control system exports data. Aside from splitting the data into two sheets, I can also see that the table header spellings are a bit different and there's an additional "Price" column. Excel won't make all these changes to your file. Please check the inventory software settings to see if there's a way to export it all as one sheet.

Another option is to merge both sheets into one, eliminating the repeated columns. You can learn about combining Excel sheets here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dd7c7a2a-4648-4dbe-9a11-eedeba1546b4.

Sorry, I did not wait long enough for the upload to be finished.

    • Downloaded from the system full inventory.
    • For some reason, the system exports the full inventory to Excel in multiple sheets.
    • The only reference to match the description, part number to the locations, and quantities are the far right columns PART ID and ID CODE
    • In the screenshot below, I placed everything in one sheet. I can send screenshots of how it was downloaded.

Hello Tarciso, please send me a screenshot of how it was downloaded. Also, where are you downloading it from? Where did you create the file? What file type is it?

It was downloaded from the NSE inventory control system.

I was informed that the only way the system download is like that.
