Send HTTP request to SharePoint - Error 400

Hi, I had setup a flow with "Send HTTP request to SharePoint" to grab the form details (title, id, etc.). It was running with no issue up until midnight of 19.9.2024, then it starts to fail in the morning.

Below is my setup of the action:

And below is the error message I got:

As there were no changes made to the flow, wondering if there is any changes to either MS Form or PA that caused this action to fail?

Some methods I tried:

  1. Reauthenticate the connection
  2. Creating and selecting a new connection
  3. Copying the flow as new flow
  4. Adding header key: Accept and value: application/json

Appreciate your help.

    Hi Sophia and Xumin,

I opened a ticket with MS and Phillip responded:

"So, the action “Send HTTP request to SharePoint” is a SharePoint connector that is supposed to send an HTTP request just to SharePoint. However, people made tutorials and videos on how to use it to send Http requests to other services. While this did work at the time it was never supported. From my understanding people did this to avoid using premium connectors. After the change this no longer worked.

As previously state the “Invoke an HTTP request” action should work in the scenario."

I will try this and let you know how it works.

Good morning, as promised, here are my results:

    Two (2) step process.

    1.

    Image

     https://forms.office.com

    1. add the Invoke an Http request (entra), putting this into the URL of the request (nothing below that is needed).
    Image

    https://forms.office.com/formapi/api/forms(‘ your form id’)?expand=questions

Using these, it no longer aborts, but I need to work on the JSON formatting for the questions.  It is very different from the previously working API. I highly recommend opening a ticket with MS if you need.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Joan,

Great to see there is a workaround, but unfortunately this connector requires a premium license, which I do not have.

I wondered if this could work with a normal HTTP instead, hence I tried running the request, but it returned error message below.

Hey Xumin, can you try to create the connection first? Click on Add Connection at the bottom of that action - click on ... to see the connections and it'll prompt you. Let me know ok?
