Does anyone know when will MS remove Outlook Classic from Office 365 installations for consumers aka the Home/Family versions?

And if I install Office 365 for consumers on a new PC does Outlook classic still installs together with the rest of the package?

Right now, it doesn't allow you to select what to install, it just puts it on your PC and it gets crowded with the Old Windows 11 Mail app, the new Outlook app and now a classic Outlook app.

Nobody likes and nobody wants Outlook (New), though.

Outlook new is awful. Please get rid of it and work on improving Outlook classic. Maybe go back to offering text messaging from Outlook.

So, for consumers we are still stuck having both Outlook classic and New Outlook installed from the Office 365 Home/Family installations?

I remember that a long time ago, in the far mists of the 2000's when MS allowed consumers (and not only enterprises) to choose which apps from Office to install.

Of course, once the subscription fever started, they needed to pad their packages and stopped allowing consumers to skip things like Access, Publisher and Outlook.

Miss the good old days xD

The new Outlook can be uninstalled from Installed Apps in Windows Settings.
