Hello All,

I need some help regardin failover cluster configuration - network cluster configuration.

Current cluster network configuration is:
access network(access) - 2NICs(Team) - clients and cluster communication
management netork(mgmt) - 2NICs(Team) - clients and cluster communication

Im going to reconfigure cluster networks in such way:
access network(access) - 2NICs(Team) - clients and cluster communication
management netork(mgmt) - 1NIC - clients and cluster communication
heartbeat network(HB) - 1NIC - cluster communication

As I don't have a lot of experience regarding clustering I have a question regarding this.

If I remove NIC Team(mgmt) and I will create on both nodes 2 network cards onfiguration:
management netork(mgmt) - 1NIC
heartbeat network(HB) - 1NIC
Do I need to change something for example in failover cluster console or cluster will detect new networks automaticly?
access network(access) - 2NICs
management netork(mgmt) - 1NIC
heartbeat network(HB) - 1NIC

OS: Windows 2016 standard

Regards,
Sebastian

    Hello,

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

Before proceeding with network changes I would suggest you run cluster validation to check its in Good health.

Also, you need to change the same configuration on each HyperV Node switch so that cluster can detect it automatically.

Please take good proper downtime before this activity.
