I use multiple sharepoint sites, however on one of them the text is white, (on the usual white background) making it unreadable, does anyone know how to make the text black again?

I am using a MacBook air M2. It's the same if I access that one sharepoint page from the app, or from multiple different devices or browsers.

    Hello Jan,

Good day!! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

    1. May I know if this issue only occurs in a specific SharePoint site? Could you please provide a screenshot of your SharePoint page?
    2. To my knowledge, generally, we can use a theme to change the colors of a SharePoint site, from Settings > Change the look > Theme. Depends on the theme's color, font color may be black or white.

So I'd like to know which theme are you using now? Or did you make any customization on the site?

    1. By the way, do other users who have permission to access the SharePoint site have the same issue?

Look forward to your reply. Thanks for your time and cooperation!

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator

Hi Tina, thanks you for your response.

    1. May I know if this issue only occurs in a specific SharePoint site? Could you please provide a screenshot of your SharePoint page?Yes, it is only occurring on one site, all others are fine. (Screenshot below) Note that if I change the view to “Tiles” it’s fine and the text returns to the usual black colour).
    2. To my knowledge, generally, we can use a theme to change the colors of a SharePoint site, from Settings > Change the look > Theme. Depends on the theme's color, font color may be black or white. So I'd like to know which theme are you using now? Or did you make any customization on the site?Apologies, I can’t see where this option is to make the change to the fold colour? I’m using whatever theme is standard, and have not made any changes or customisations to the appearance.
    3. By the way, do other users who have permission to access the SharePoint site have the same issue?*No, the other users are not experiencing this issue, only myself.*I have tried logging out and logging back in, and ave tried using chrome and safari, and also the sharepoint app on another device, but none of these attempts have resolved the issue.

    Hello Jan,

Thank you for posting back and sharing with me the detailed information including the screenshot.

From the screenshot, it looks like you are not checking the Document library itself, you are checking the Document library web part from the site Home page. May I know if my understanding is right?

If yes, does same issue still occur when you directly access the Document library itself? (just click Documents from left navigation) Does it display font in black color?

If yes, that means issue only occurs with the **Document library web part.**For further troubleshooting, you may try editing the Home page, remove the Document library web part and then add it back to the page. See if same issue happens or not.

By the way, you may also create a new page in the SharePoint site, then add the same library as document library web part on the new page, check the result. This way helps you determine if only the Home page has problem.

If it works on the new page, you may set the new page as your Home page.

Feel free to post back if you have any update, I'll be glad to further help you.

Thanks for your time and cooperation. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Tina
