Sharepoint Page Versions Not Deleting

Hello,

So we have crafted a Sharepoint site to help manage specific documents internally, so users create them as a page on the site.

We have content approvals setup, as well as versioning with major and minors. However, since only draft items can be seen by the editor and approvers, it looks like if a user edits a previously approved page (to update it), and decides they don’t need to edit it after they have already saved it as a draft, they are not able to even delete that minor version.

  1. We’ve tried restoring the past approved version but it doesn’t affect anything or allow the minor version after it to show a “delete” option.
  2. Permissions look to be accurate (users for each folder have “Contribute” and also have the ability for “Delete Versions” enabled there.
  3. Approval process uses a power automate flow, so there never is an option for “Republish”.
