How to: Conditional Formatting for Blank Cells in Another Column

Hello! I am trying to cleverly conditionally format my "Yes" and "No" drop down in D7:D12 to not show when there is no data to the left of it (I was thinking white font possibly). For example, I have dynamic formulas in B7:B12 and C7:C12 which only show rows with data based on my selection in C3; it does not show any blanks. Therefore, the greatest number of rows I can have are 6 (if criteria "Poor" is selected), but in this case I have 3 (criteria "Excellent" selected). Is there a way to conditionally format D7:D12 so the extra rows of Yes and No do not show when there is no data to the left of it?

    Hi, ExcelNewbie101

Thank you for using Microsoft products and posting them in the community.

In the conditional format settings, you can use in the number format settings;;; that does not show, the operation is as follows:

Select Conditional Format - Set the formula, enter:

    =AND(ISBLANK(B7),ISBLANK(C7))

This indicates that the format is applied if the corresponding cells in columns B and C are empty.

Then inside Format choose Number - Custom - Enter ;;;, which means nothing is displayed.

I hope the above information can help you. Feel free to send a message if you need further help.

    Best wishes
