Sorting function/feature not working in Excel

Hi Team,

We have an issue in end user machine, in which Sort function is not working as expected. The real problem is when we click on Sort option available under Data Tab after selecting few cells in a single column, down there in Excel it is showing Sorting which never ends actually. At the same time, it's working fine in Safe Mode without any issue but still not able to fix it from our end. TSS performed as below:

1. Removed all Add-ins available in Excel
2. O365 Package repaired online
3. Updated O365 apps to latest build version 2412 (Monthly Enterprise Channel)
4. Reinstalled entire office package
5. Restarted machine after above steps

Please don't get confused after seeing the image, as I've double checked that only single column was selected while performing Sort option.

Could you please help us with this?

Try opening register editor and locate the Options registry key and delete it to reset Excel settings.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Excel\Options
