Microsoft is increasing my monthly MS 365 subscription by 43% starting this month (Feb 2025)! It was $6.99 and is going up to $9.99. MS says it's to pay for Copilot AI. Wow!

They're charging me more for something that has a lot of problems including:

  • Data privacy concerns
  • Inaccurate outputs
  • Performance lags
  • Prompting complexity
  • Bias concerns
  • Compliance risks

Way to go Microsoft. You provide an inferior product and charge users for it. Great business model Microsoft!

If you turn off your recurrent billing, these options magically appear as they beg you not to cancel.

You can switch to Microsoft 365 Classic without Copilot, for the original subscription fee.

How is that done? When I go to "manage account" the less expensive -classic_ is not listed as an option.

I got the February Increase notice today, June 13, 2025. To me, the increase is what it is but shame on them for telling me four months late!

The price increase is pure theft on Microsoft's part....pay more or else we dump your data.
