The hamburger dropdown navigation menu is not working in the Android SharePoint app. Multiple users over multiple sites have reported issue - clicking on it does nothing. Happening on SharePoint app version 3.39.60, on Android 14. Another user who is on Android 15, with version 3.39.50 is not having the issue. Can't find much online - anyone else?

    Hi Doug,

I have found the same issue on the app, a different "work around" is to swipe from the left side of the screen instead of using the "hamburger menu",

I discovered this by chance, there is no indicator to show that this is a UI update, the "hamburger menu" seems to be deactivated and replaced with this gesture,

Let me know if this is the same issue you encountered

    Kind Regards,

    Hello.

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Community.

I understand how inconvenient it can be when dropdown menus in SharePoint aren't working properly on your Android device.

This is a known behavior with certain modern SharePoint sites or customized list forms when accessed via mobile browsers or even the SharePoint mobile app. Some interactive elements, like dropdowns or lookup fields, may not render as expected due to compatibility limitation or recent updates.

Here are a few suggestions that may help:

    • Try switching browsers on mobile: While the SharePoint mobile app is convenient, using mobile browsers like Chrome or Firefox (in desktop mode) can sometimes improve compatibility.
    • Update the Operative System of your Android if possible.
    • Check if the form uses Power Apps customization: If your list or form was customized using Power Apps, dropdowns may not behave well on mobile. On this case, you can try accessing the form directly via the Power Apps mobile app instead.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

thanks for getting back to me - I appreciate that "work-arounds" may help "work around" the issue, but this is clearly a bug in the latest app update. Maybe you could submit this info to MS?!
