    Hello Hari,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand you would like to unblock the Macro in excel running. My Sincerest appologies for the troubles and inconveniences this have caused

A macro is a series of commands used to automate a repeated task and can be run when you have to perform the task. However, some macros can pose a security risk by introducing viruses or malicious software to your computer. Never enable macros in a Microsoft 365 file unless you're sure you know what those macros do and you want the functionality they provide. You don't need to enable macros to view or edit the file. Kindly Go through the link provided to get more information on Macros Enable or disable macros in Microsoft 365 files - Microsoft Support

    Hi.

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

To resolve the issue where Microsoft has blocked macros from running because the source of the file is untrusted, you can follow one of these two safe and effective methods:

Method 1: Unblock the File via File Properties

This is the most direct and recommended method for files downloaded from the internet.

    1. Close the Excel file if it’s open.
    2. Right-click the file in File Explorer.
    3. Select Properties.
    4. In the General tab, look for a checkbox labeled Unblock under the “Security” section.
    5. Check the box and click Apply, then OK.
    6. Reopen the file in Excel and click Enable Content if prompted.

This removes the "Mark of the Web" that Windows adds to downloaded files.

Method 2: Adjust Trust Center Settings (Use with Caution)

If you frequently work with trusted macro files, you can adjust Excel’s macro settings:

    1. Open Excel and go to File > Options.
    2. Select Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
    3. Click Macro Settings.
    4. Choose Enable all macros (not recommended unless you trust all files you open).
    5. Optionally, add trusted locations under Trusted Locations to avoid this issue for specific folders.
