Finally resolved this issue on my device, but I had a weird scenario with my office apps. Adding this here in case anyone might have the same scenario.
PROBLEM
After upgrading my Samsung S22 Ultra to OneUI 7 Android 15 update, my office apps won't open.
Clicking on an office app (word, excel, etc.) an android permission splash screen appears and then quickly closes app.
Attempted to install office mobile from the Samsung mobile store, but encountered the following error: "unable to install app because it conflicts with existing package"
Checked settings -> apps and verified that office, m365 copilot was not installed
I also attempted to install an office mobile app apk, but encountered the same error.
CAUSE
It turns out I had older versions of office apps installed as secure apps (this may have been due to an old work policy from a previous job??, but not certain)
I was even able to run the office mobile app and other apps from the secure folder successfully.
SOLUTION
On device, went to Settings -> Apps -> Samsung App Settings -> Secure Folder -> Apps
Uninstalled all office apps: Office mobile, word, excel, etc.
After unisntalling from secure folder, I was able to install and run the Office mobile app enabling the permissions as per recommended forum answers.
Was also able to successfully install and open other office apps.
Also, no issues encountered after uninstalling office mobile and replacing it with microsoft co-pilot app.
Hope this scenario can help someone.
