Hello,

One of our users is having issues accessing their "My Files" folder on OneDrive web. I can't insert images but the error is as follows:

"Sorry, something went wrong

Unknown render failure.

Failed to execute statement, ResultCode: 1"

They removed cache and it temporarily fixed the issue but the problem is back. After trying to delete cache again, it doesn't work.

I encountered this today for the first time. I've used a Family 365 subscription for a number of years.

The problem was present only intermittently, and in the Edge, Brave, and Chrome browsers. I had been refreshing the screen in Edge from time to time this afternoon, and eventually the screen displayed correctly, in Edge. I then confirmed it was correctly displaying in Brave and Chrome.

I was able to view the contents of my OneDrive, throughout the entire episode, using the Android OneDrive application.

I suspect there's a problem at Microsoft's end, since at no time did I make a change in browser settings or anything else on my WIndows 11 Pro laptop, between the time I began to experience the problem and the screen eventually rendered correctly. I also see there are others here reporting they tried different browsers - and sometimes different PCs - with the same problem occurring. This also suggests to me the problem is on Microsoft's end.

I would be interested in hearing if the problem is only being experienced by Family 365 subscribers or if this is a problem being seen by Business 365 subscribers, too.

I to have experienced this problem. Something has obviously changed over the past short while as I didn't have this problem a few weeks ago. I can't really tell how long, though.

I discovered this today, 1st July 2025, when I tried to access a hyperlink in an excel spreadsheet linking a file to my OneDrive account.

This is really frustrating and would hope that Microsoft comes up with a solution soon.

It is more than frustrating! I have an EXCEL account register and linked all the receipts as hyperlinks which are located on my OneDrive (same as you). As the fiscal year ended 6/30 we wanted to do an audit next week and now we can't do it as the links always lead to this "unknown render failure" message. Nothing was changed at our end as well and suddenly it doesn't work anymore.

I hope, someone from #Microsoft is answering soon with a workaround or solution as I really need to get that back up and running. Thanks!

The issue somehow resolved on its own after a few days of not working.
