How do you (or can you) password protect excel file on iOS mobile with ms365

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I understand that you need assistance with enabling Password protect on your excel files in your Excel for iOS,

To password-protect an Excel file on iOS, follow these steps:

1. Open the Excel File

• Launch the Excel app on your iOS device and open the file you want to protect.

2. Access File Options

• Tap the three-dot menu or File option, depending on your app version.

3. Enable Password Protection

• Look for the Protect Workbook or Encrypt with Password option. If available, select it.
• Enter your desired password and confirm it.

4. Save the File

• Save the file to apply the password protection.

If you don’t see these options, it’s possible that the feature isn’t supported on your version of Excel for iOS.

Hi - thanks again for the advice 👍😊 Unfortunately it wasn’t successful on my iOS device 😔 (as the functionality/ options were not available) but I managed to resolve the matter on a W10 PC from where I alternatively accessed the file I needed to p/word protect

Apologies for the late reply, I am really glad that all worked out in the end for you as you were able to unprotect your excel files.
